Losing the horn

There's a programme on TV right now which is a mixture of archaeology and paeleontology, i.e. my ideal evening's entertainment. Unfortunately, it seems to cater for the rather more ignorant viewer (and I'm not expert, but enjoy learning about geology and was mad keen on dinosaurs as a nipper), but it's still inspiring and thrilling. I'm SO going to go fossil-hunting as soon as I have someone to go with (hint hint sgs ;)).

So onto the point of this entry. What's the dilly with the iguanodon's spike(s)? I'm sure received wisdom has changed since I was a kid. Dinosaur experts to blog! Comments below please!

A halibut??

Another entry spurred on by guilt. Another entry where I have nothing to say and am floundering (literally - I'm lying flat on the floor with both eyes on the same side of my face) for something to write. It's a Saturday morning, a weekend I am obliged to enjoy as I'm working next week (for one week only, sigh).

It is, however, the first day of the football season for both the top, elite millionaires in the Premiership and the part-time journeymen, young bucks and sallow-cheeked plumbers of the Combined Counties League, where my beloved AFC Wimbledon ply their trade. Very exciting mail delivery yesterday - I received my first ever season ticket. Whoot! Naturally, I am kicking off the season by staying at home and keeping my support to strictly armchair level. Go the Dons!

Snuh

Oh my. I really haven't posted for over a fortnight? Well, you haven't missed much. I've been away in the family seat in Lido Di Venezia, Italy, lying on a beach and eating tasty seafood-based dishes. And visiting my aged grandmother, and arguing with my brother, and being rude to my mum, you know, usual family holiday stuff.

This week I am mostly looking for a job. So if you see one, grab it by its tail, put it in an airtight box and send it over to me. Ta!
