Introducing: Pat Steele

My friends and I all ate dinner out together tonight, and the women in the booth behind us were having the best conversation ever. Little tidbits I overheard:
And I just started thinking, "Why am I lowering myself to this low level of thinking?" I am going to a BBQ tomorrow night at my friend Kate's house--the first barbeque of the season, and I am so excited. I actually haven't been to a real barbeque before, at least not since I was about eight. My across-the-street neighbor, Mark Walsh, used to have a big Memorial Day barbeque and invite about a hundred people over. There would be a big baseball game at the end of the day, and that's usually when my presence became a bit less than desirable. Drunk men in their 40's don't usually appreciate a fumbling 8 year old when it comes to baseball. I'd better head off right now. I am going to meet up with my friends. Now that they are out of school it feels more like summertime. Cheers!
