Snowday(s)

While most of the world is very concerned with.. well, the rest of the world--for the past few days my attention has mainly been focused on things here, regionally. On Monday night I heard a little rumor that the STORM OF THE CENTURY was headed Denver-ward and to look out for 2-5' of snow. I thought it seemed kind of dumb, especially by Monday night when there was not a flake in sight. Tuesday morning I tried to take the bus to work, and was blinded by flurries. As you can see from the above photos, I have been snowed in. Today my roommate and I ventured outside to try and buy groceries only to find Queen Soopers plugged with people freaking out about the weather. A lot of the shelves were empty and the checkout lines extended and snaked all throughout the store. Nicole and I looked at our half-filled basket and decided we weren't willing to wait a few hours just to buy some soda and Doritos.

I told my boyfriend earlier today that I was going to dedicate today to Getting Stuff Done--reading, writing, all the things I claim I never have time to do. I said that at around 1:30 p.m. MST. Now it's 7:55 and I've done jack shit.

I guess the war's begun. I'm trying to get news coverage in on my crappy antenna, and not much is happening.

That storm of the century in Denver made Cher cancel her concert here in Boise, ID! What a teeny-tiny world we live in...
