Indie punks.
Road trip in the morning. I'm now continually repeating this mantra inside my head: We are not suburban fags going antiquing. We are INDIE PUNKS going THRIFT SHOPPING. Thrifting, not antiquing! Thrifting, not antiquing!
I have a mantra for all of you to repeat to yourselves, too: May Brian and Matty find lots of stuff like this, only for $15 instead of $15,000. Repeat ad infinitum/nauseum.
Soundtrack for the trip, which kicks off with a two hour trip down into the wilds of SUBURBAN PHILLY and SOUTH JERSEY: new Herrmann & Kleine record which I'm snagging off Audiogalaxy (oh hush, you), Denise James country stuff on Poptones, plaintive ukelele strains courtesy of the Moonlighters, plus whatever-else-happens-to-still-be-on-the-iPod. Oh yeah, and this rather enjoyable clash between Dot Allison's "Substance" and Felix da Housecat. Enjoy.
...and Wish us luck!
