Tivoesque

According to Mac OS Rumors, Apple is working on a Tivo-like set-top device with built-in wireless networking. Hell, maybe they'll just buy Tivo outright. Holy crap! I would give my left pinkie for something like that. Hook that thing up to a home broadband connection, log onto it securely from work, view streaming QuickTime versions of everything you've got stored on it... Of course, knowing Apple, the Harman-Kardon sound system it is rumored to come with will probably be USB-only and the device won't have any analog audio outputs at all. And it'll probably cost about $300 more than any pundits' guesstimates. Please, Apple engineers, I beg you, don't fuck this one up! If it's even true; SpyMac now refutes the information. Bah. Rain on my parade, why don't you.
