Dream dictionaries

Dream dictionaries make no sense. Surely a dream in which School Principal Nicole Kidman chides me for trying to take MY donuts back from Lane-from-Gilmore-Girls means more than "ooh you were in your high school, that means you have trouble letting go of your past." Uh, yeah, whatever, as if I've spoken to anyone I went to high school with in the PAST FIVE YEARS (internet stalking via various online white pages and the nifty Sherlock People Search notwithstanding... after all, that's just WATCHING, not INTERACTING!).
As I ruminate on this, I'm realizing that I think Annette O'Toole was the principal for a little while in my dream, too. God, I hope that horrific episode of Smallville I watched last week isn't going to haunt me to the end of my days.
