Students. Oy vey.

1. Every high school graduate in America received an iPod this summer from their parents. There's no other way to explain the blinding amount of stainless steel and white plastic on view when walking through the NYU environs.

2. I can't stand hippies.

3. What's with this new trend that I hereby dub Half Pants? I have seen no less than three guys wearing pants that are JEANS on the front and, like, BEIGE CORDUROY on the back or vice versa. I can't keep up. I guess it's an extension of last summer's Half Shirt thing where you cut two t-shirts down the middle and sew 'em together. (Watch the John Cameron Mitchell interview on the Hedwig DVD for an example) Weird.
