Gilmore nerdery

Yes, my boyfriend did make me jot down the t-shirt slogans from last night's Gilmore Girls. Yes, I did it quite willingly. Yes, maybe we'll make some. Yes, we will then hang our heads in nerdy shame. For the record (and the Googlers this post will inevitably attract), the three shirts read "babette ate oatmeal!" "faux poes foes" and "rory's going to yale."

I love summer repeats; since we chose Buffy over Gilmore Girls in TiVo priority, we've had a lot of catching up to do. An inn fire, dueling recitations of "The Raven," a cat named Papaya... what more could you want from television?

NB: The second Poe was That Guy from Popular! The one who was Every Generic Male Adult. I miss Popular. I'm glad That Guy is working, though.

Thank the hokey you're finally getting with it. I've had no one to discuss these things with except for Bookstore Boy who also wanted to make GG slogan shirts. I so want one. Faux Poes Foe would be my choice though I'm fond of Babette Ate Oatmeal too.

I just stumbled upon your journal after typing in "faux poes foes" and i also really want to make a shirt just like that. i would wear only that one. it'd be awesome. i wish i knew some t-shirt making places around here. make a note in your journal if you know how to make one of these shirts, eh?

Lol, this is so funny. I just googled Babette Ate Oatmeal coz I was bored. Good job. I just had a t-shirt made for my friend's bday with the Babette Ate Oatmeal slogan. It rocks and now I want one.

I, too, just googled "faux poes foes" as I'm trying to look for such a t-shirt to buy. I've found "babette ate oatmeal!" at cafepress.com . . . but no black shirts with the poes . . . grrr!

Is Gilmore Girls the STNG of the otts? ok, I glance @ many of my girlfriend's shows, but only gilmore girls has actually captured me. I had to run out and get season 3. Let me know if you make these shirts. I want.

Me too. I forgot exactly what the phrase was, but I remembered there was "faux" and "poe" so I typed those in, and it led me here. It'd be cool to have a shirt with that on it.
