Onward, Intrepid Solderers

So a few weeks ago a 2-year old played jumprope with one of the controllers for our G*meCube.

Long story short, the first controller port doesn't work anymore. And guess what? Instruction book to the contrary, the new B*ffy game requires you to use the first controller port to start the game.

Fuck.

Can I borrow a soldering iron from somebody? Oh, and I'll also need to borrow a cute Xander Harris-esque boy who knows how to use said soldering iron. Eyepatch optional. That'd be great. Cheers.

Resolution: the video game shop bought the broken machine back and for $70 and sold us a new refurbished one for $99. Plus $10 warranty in case of other nephew incidents.
