Lip My Stocking
Every hipster on the planet has seen it, right? Still, what a gorgeous film. And what a lovely iconic figure that Scarlett Johansson cuts on screen. Yo La Tengo wrote a song about Julie Christie; who's writing the song about Scarlett?
Don't you wish the iMDB had wishlists? Recommendations? It's like they're just sitting on all this data and not using it to its potential. Some pundit or other called Amazon a social-software system with a store grafted onto it. The iMDB needs to be like that, too.

I think it's still in limited release, so not quite every hipster has seen it. Also, I haven't seen it. Question: Do you prefer IMDB to AllMovie.com? If so, why?

AllMovie has *nothing* on the iMDB. Nothing! Compare their respective pages on Lost In Translation: AllMovie doesn't even have a whole cast list. AllMovie is dead to me! Dead I tell you!

There's not even a release date for the UK yet as far as I can tell (boo hiss) so this hipster isn't even going to get to see it for quite some time!

Yeah, that sucks. I say: Boo to the UK delay.

I don't know about the ownership deal. The iMDB has links to purchase DVDs and such through Amazon but there isn't really very much integration beyond what you'd expect for even the simple Amazon Affiliate program.
