I haven't the constitution for research like that.
Brilliant post over at snarkout.org today on the legacy of text-based games... I'm a sucker for a good Inform game (my interest has been revitalized since I realized Zoom has become a viable OS X interpreter) and I have to admit I was a former Cloudmaker.

I remember Zork.
And 16K, that's K, Trash-80s.
And writing my own text-based games with lots of goto strings for the amusement of my friends.
It was all so middle school. In an over-privileged NNJ sort of way, of course.

I was a huuuge Adventure fan, and still play around with it from time to time into the early 90s.
Trash 80, we had one of those. My dad (a computer retailer) bought one at a trade show out of curiosity and played around with it for a bit before giving it to one of my cousins.
