Insert song lyric here. Or not, if you can't be arsed. Like me.
So the boyfriend and I have our tickets to London. I don't recall exactly when they are for, I think February 23rd through March 4. Any of the 7 people who regularly read this crappy log can email me if you want to go out for a drink or a round of DDR. I'll whup your butt. I know it's kind of long-notice, but I'll forget if I don't mention it now.
I downloaded the new Steps album off of Macster today. I can't help myself. I try and try not to be so damned homosexual but the tendencies keep rearing their ugly heads. So to speak. To cancel it out, I spent the afternoon listening to My Bloody Valentine.
Tonight i will find my s-video cable and do some Mary Cherry work. Yeah right. Keep telling yourself that bub. Sigh. The End.

Don't drag that handle
I'm posting this from Netscape, I hope it works. Don't resize the page, Brian, don't resize the page! You remember what happened last time you resized the page in Netscape, don't you?
I neglected to mention that Julie discovered an eGroup devoted to playing DDR in NYC! Hallelujah! Through the group, she found out that there is a new USA Mix machine at an arcade in Chinatown. We went last night and danced like mad people. We both scored PERFECT As on six songs (Not quite as good as Double S, but still I was happy), but there were these Asian kids there who played on super-hard mode & did spins so they got more attention than us. Sure, half the time they were getting big scores that said FAILED but they had style. Grr. Note to self: work on style. Second note to self: leave work in 3 minutes to meet the BF to buy tickets to LONDON. WHOO.

Last week sucked.
That's all you need to know.
I even lost my bag with my copy of Wallpaper and my book. And possibly a CD or two, I'm not entirely sure what all was in it. All I know is now it's GONE. sigh.
And Starry, I didn't go to the Time Out party because my week was so shitty I just wanted to go home and cry. So I didn't get to stalk any UK webloggers in particular. Sorry! Maybe next year.

Ay-iy-iy I'm your little butterfly
I can't believe I'm watching a show called Tucker. It's terribly boring... but tonight it has Seth Green playing a DDR Master! How could I resist. I'll report back (possibly with screencaps) in the morrow. Once it's over it's time for drinks (bad idea on a Monday night? Chastise me).

You're pretty as a penny, rollerskate-skinny
I bought the new issue of Wallpaper* today. I'm not ashamed at all. It has this kind of weird Turkish cardamom-flavored coffee in it that they sell at the falafel place near my apartment! My neighborhood has been Validated! woo.
I'm still obsessed with Rhett Miller. I think I'm going to put up a Rhett page on the site. You know, as soon as I finish editing the 120 soundclips from Popular that are waiting on the hard drive at home. I'll just keep whining about it here until someone tells me to shut up.
I have two checks for $1800 sitting on my desk that I have to process for a ticket buy to a show at my club. Should I take the money myself and fly to Costa Rica or someplace? Let me know.

Lines, Splines.
I love the lines and splines typography weblog. I love people who can write a 6 paragraph rant on the font used on a Modest Mouse show poster. Brilliant and completely geeky.

Today the posts shall flow like the River Jordan.
I mentioned the amazing Drew the other day but I wanted to reiterate that he is a GENIUS!@!!@
My friend started an egroups list for Drew discussions. You're welcome to join although I don't know what we'll actually talk about. Whee.

Rain's gonna come in fair sized drips, we're gonna go to Heaven wearing paper-hat-ships.
Oh my! Has it really been 6 days? What have I been up to? I finally learned how to copy PSX games so now some charming bootlegs of that oh-so-great but hard-to-find wondergame DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION can finally be enjoyed by my friends. I allowed myself a few hours of moral superiority because my happy Macintosh did it on the first try while Julie has been trying for weeks on her PC with no success! I cleaned up my desk at home so I don't have to feel like the Black Sheep of my apartment. I became utterly obsessed with B.O.N. and my new Rhett Miller bootleg from Julie. I haven't done diddly squat to the website because I don't have an s-video cable long enough to reach from the VCR to my computer. Anyone know how long an s-video cable can be?? (s-video! ain't no party like an s-video party! hoochie mamas show your nanas! s-video! sigh, I need to cut back on all this crack..

Confused?
I noticed after reading someone else's blog today that some of my posts re: mary cherry may have confused some people. I don't own marycherry.com and I don't know who does... my remarks about it were simply meant to show my frustration that there was someone HOT ON MY HEELS and creating a site devoted to my favorite fashion maven. my mary cherry site is still located here.gah i can't even read what i'm typing on this evil monitor. so i'm leaving now. i am a crab this evening. actually i've noticed that i'm kind of a crab EVERY evening lately. maybe my metabolism is fucked up. sigh. forget it. bye.

A boullion cube, a celery stick and a cigarette
OK color me confused, people. marycherry.com is working again, although it still just points to a splash page. Sigh. I still need to get to work on my silly Mary site.
Today is mini-crisis day. I can't find the zip disk that has the Vast Majority of the stuff I'm working on for this site. It's not such a big worry as it's all backed up in various places, although a few small things might have slipped through the cracks. The bigger worry is that I have no idea what I did with the disk which means I might be missing other things (like half my brain) without even noticing that they're gone. Sigh.
I'm also having crises about my various jobs and tasks... I haven't had time to even THINK about the people whose computers I should be taking care of, or about the band I'm supposed to be helping out. I love those dear little Stars and those dear little gumdroppy iMacs but things are starting to slip through the cracks. I think I just need to take a nap and reorganize how I go through my day. Yeah. That'll do it. That and a couple dexys.

Cherry cherry.
So marycherry.com now points to a website for some singer-songwriter type called Tift Merritt. Anotha contenda put to bed! Now all I have to do is get around to working on my Soon To Be Definitive Mary Cherry Website and we'll call it a day. Word.
