Separated at Birth?
Cute west coast blogger boy Chris Prosaic* vs. cute CNN tech anchorperson Daniel Sieberg. Hmm...

Backend Stuff (and also things.)
So, as Laurel kindly pointed out, I took my mp3s down a few days ago and forgot to put them back up. They will return eventually in some form. I've been meaning to roll them into a separate, non-archived weblog format so only the most recent ones would be available at any given time. That or I want to put some kind of php wrapper around them so trawlers won't be able to pick up the mp3 files. Hrm. See why this has taken two weeks?
Also, what's up with Safari not being able to display Lucida if it's in a bold tag? Fuck. Is this a v67 issue? I know none of the betas can display Lucida if it's italicized (way to go Apple, selecting a font for your entire enterprise that has no italic or even oblique variant) but I don't remember the bold looking so fugly a few days ago.

Spammy Sharpshooter
SPAM: DEAR_FRIEND (0.4 points) BODY: How dear can you be if you don't know my name?
So my provider, pair Networks, has quietly rolled out SpamAssassin across its servers.
I am in spam-killing heaven! I spent months trying to install it myself at work, where it wreaked havoc with our virtual mailboxes and was constantly culled by the terrifying roaming bots that pair employs to keep server usage spikes down (it's like the motherfucking Matrix in there, yo).
But now it's part of the basic web administration for both my work account and home account. I was able to activate and set it with one or two mouseclicks and it's purring along like a dream.
I kind of wish it was a Bayesian filter of some kind, but it's much (MUCH!) better than nothing. Now I might actually be able to use some of the email accounts at work as something other than spam traps. Productivity NOW!

War! What is it good for?
It's good for reminding me that I am technically an Irish Citizen by Descent and therefore entitled to an Irish passport.
Now. How do I start lobbying for domestic partner rights on the ol' Emerald Isle?

Part of me snorts derisively. Part of me wants.
New "London Plaid" iPod case from XtremeMac. I laugh and cry.

No Goddamn Whammies!
Michael Larsen, Press Your Luck Legend.
And, on a vaguely related tangent,

The Complete Guide to Price Is Right games!
Let it be written: when I go to heaven, I will play Plinko all the ding dong day.

Why, it's positively BALMY out there.
Ah, the air is so fresh and clear on the eve o' war.
Sadly all I can really think about is how badly I need a new spring coat. I am a selfish bastard. Go me!
Now I'm going to go play with Clutter like all the other good blog boys. Yay, little colorful squares, this will keep me occupied for daaaaaaays!

Five by five.
Hello! I was ill. Now I'm better. Sadly I couldn't stretch it long enough to allow me to miss my Friday 8:30am class.
In blog news, I have an RSS feed now. Good boys and girls heart NetNewsWire.
And I fiddled with my layout a bit to make comments and such more readable. They're not fixed 100% but honestly what more can you expect from someone who has done nothing but vomit and watch Trading Spaces for two days?

Top 10 Annoying Songs, Part Deux
Oh my.
So the other day Matty sent me this link that he got from Bradford's weblog.
It has knocked all the rest of those annoying songs out of my head for all time and replaced them each in turn with 9 duplicates of itself.
Watch this video and be prepared to spend the next three days endlessly singing "GAY BOYFRIEND! GAY BOYFRIEND! LA! LA! LA LA!!" in the most charmingly tuneless manner possible. And I mean that in the very best way.
WATCH IT NOW.
