Buying with iTunes
I updated my Kung-Tunes sidebar to include a link to purchase tracks via the new iTunes Music Store. If you have iTunes 4 and you click the asterisk after the artist's name, it should launch iTunes and take you to that artist's page in the store. Neat. Well, neat if the artist happens to be one of the ones they sell. Thanks to What Do I Know for the scoop! And apologies to those of you overseas who can't use the purchasing service. I really hope Apple gets international licensing worked out soon.

Ooh. Shiny.
Blah blah blah, new stuff from Apple cakes.
I haven't been able to get the QuickTime update; I keep getting errors on Apple's website and it's not in my software update, but the other new things are fab. Love the new font tweaks in iTunes; not sure about the new icons yet. New iPod update is nice, too, although it didn't seem to give me solitaire or most of the new features (where's song queueing? and note files? Are they on the new models only? Bummer). Hmm.

Am I the Only iPod User Who...
...reaches for the scroll wheel to raise the volume when the iPod is attached to the computer? Or presses the >> button to skip to another track?
Dear Apple: You can have my idea for free, yo. Firmware upgrade, please! Love, Brian.

How to Make a T1me Pizza
Start with a pound of pizza dough rolled out in a rustic fashion.
Fry up a nice slab of bacon.
Crumble equal amounts of gorgonzola cheese and mozarella.
While dicing an onion, discover a gigantic waterbug hanging out in your cutlery drawer.
Scream like a girl until your boyfriend comes into the kitchen and takes the bug away to flush down the toilet.
Get a pal to dice a Granny Smith apple while you puree some tomatoes. Carry on as if nothing weird happened. Bug? There was no bug. What are you talking about? Chop faster!
Sauce up your round; add cheeses, bacon, onion & apple. Drizzle a little honey on top (yes, really!). Give the whole jobby 12-13 minutes at 475 degrees.
Try not to think about the warm months ahead and what they mean for folks living this close to the waterfront; salt and pepper to taste.
Bon friggin' appetit.

Nigella dahling.
Ooh! Sources tell me Nigella Lawson is doing a book signing at the Union Square Barnes & Noble tonight at 7pm! All apologies to my local-bookstore-supporting-slash-running hostees (I'm looking at you, dear) but I'm forking over the dough for a copy of Forever Summer to this most heinous of bookstore conglomerates. Sorry!

Dear Aqua,
I am sick of you! And globes. I'm sick of globes, too.

RSS feeds on Palm
So it looks like somebody finally got around to writing a conduit for reading RSS feeds on a Palm... check out BlogPluck if you're interested. I stopped using my Visor a long time ago because there wasn't really much use I could get out of it (plus I lost it for almost a year; I just found it last week in my suit jacket which I hadn't worn since last year!) but if this really works, I'm all over it.

Busted!
Hello. My club was raided this weekend by the fire department. As were 39 others. And yet, somehow, they missed the one where bouncers get stabbed for enforcing the law! Yay New York! Yay pissy moods! I got to say "no comment" to THREE journalists on the phone today! I want a new job! Ideas please!

TiVo Desktop for OS X!
TiVo Desktop for OS X is out. It lets you share data from iTunes and iPhoto to your TiVo if you have it hooked up to a home network (and if you pay a $99 fee for the Home Media option).
Even better, it now supports programming the TiVo from anyplace on the 'net without wacky hack jobs. This plus a comment from Mr. Sieberg himself and I am in dork heaven!

I keep meaning...
...to write something. But instead I keep fiddling with backend bits. I fixed Laura's archives today and learned some stuff in AppleScript Studio and set Kung-Tunes back up on Rory but didn't manage to, like, create any content. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.
