My name is Sente, and I am the Master of the Perplex City Academy.
So began an email I received the other day. It was sitting in my inbox, waiting to be flagged as spam and quickly discarded.
For some reason, though, I looked it over one extra time before sending it off to the bin this evening.
And slowly it dawned on me that it wasn't spam.
It was the beginning of a new game.
If you were a Cloudmaker back in the day, or if you've read it about with fascination since, now's your chance to get in on the ground floor.

Now that's what I call espresso
A few days ago I pulled out my little stovetop coffee pot only to discover that I accidentally put it away dirty, oh, about a year ago.
My lovely fella cleaned it up for me but I'm still a bit skeeved.
So I'm going to build one of these instead.
My first thought was "I wonder how hard it is to aim," which isn't the kind of phrase that one normally associates with coffee-making, now is it?

Bullseye
I noticed on Nedward just now that the video for The Bravery's "An Honest Mistake" is up on their website. You may have heard the song already, since it made the rounds on a few mp3 blogs a few months back.
They're rather corny/bad/addictive like the Killers* but with even goofier makeup on the lead singer, if such a thing is possible.
The video is cute, though, and the payoff at the end is just perfect. It's worth three minutes of your time.
*Who I secretly listen to all the time--lately via TiVo's Home Media thing so they won't show up in my Audioscrobbler profile or the Recent Tracks listing here on the blog; isn't that terribly embarassing?

Hey look, I'm every blogger with a new camera ever

I got a new camera.
So I took some pictures of my cat.
(More to come, I promise. Maybe even some things more interesting than a cat picture. I've been rearranging the site, dealing with spam, getting ready to use some categories. I started a little baking project with my friend Katie, who has good pictures of some things we've made on her blog, Sharp Cookie. Her stuff mostly came out nicer-looking than mine did; it's a good thing I didn't have the camera three weeks ago!)
