I judge people by their shoes.

I carry my PowerBook with me at all times, in case I get called to Zurich to become a member of a l33t team of computer hackers.

I don't carry my passport, though. So I'm inconsistent. Sue me. Or maybe I just think they'll be giving me one with a new name on it. And am therefore even more internally consistent than my conscious mind will admit.

Sometimes I talk to my coffee. But only sometimes.

Sometimes I'm afraid if I burn my tongue on a hot drink, I will permanently lose one sector of my tastebuds. Maybe that's why I talk to the coffee: it's a form of psychological warfare.
