lame title, i know.

so today at the end of my (freaking neverending longest ever) shift at the library, i was shelving in the biography stack, and two high school girls (10th grade, i found out later) wandered in looking confused. so i was like, "er, can i help you?" they were researching for their history papers. as soon as i pointed them in the direction of the call number area they needed to be in, they were all "okay we can take it from here." and they walked away and i could hear them whispering and giggling, and i'm like, wow, i'm getting mocked by 15 year olds. it's like it's 1993 again! but then, as i continued shelving, i could see that they were still having trouble, so i helped them again. and i continued shelving. and then the tall one came up to me and was like, "i couldn't find anything on this general i'm supposed to write about." and i asked if she looked in biography and she said no. and i asked his name. "william t. sherman" she pronounced uncertainly. hee!! so i led her over to the s's, climbed the little step ladder and pulled down two fairly recent biographies. and all of a sudden, oh i'm not such a dork now, eh? i totally took a liking to these girls by the end, after running up and down among the various stacks to help them find books. it was awesome.

my computer is broke and i'm home alone and i can't even look at porn because i think that might be an invasion of helen's computer's personal space. can you sexually harrass an iBook?

and to give some of you some satisfaction, i'll inform you that sarah puked on my boxed set of roswell s1.

xo.

A few more years of grad school, and you could do that all the time for fun and profit. I'm just sayin'.
