from my september 17 entry:
i just think about how i can't meet someone [who is] nice to me, funny, talented, sexy -- who is my age and oh, i don't know, lives within 200 miles of me.

funny, i had just met someone like that, but i didn't know it. because um, for anyone who reads this who i haven't talked to, brett is my boyfriend. which is kind of insane. for lots of reasons. not least of which being that i had an immense crush on him my senior year of college when i didn't even know him because he went to school at edinboro but his band used to play in meadville sometimes. i never even tried to talk to him. weird! some day i will write down the whole story of how i met him this time around.

but for now i am reading devil in the white city, but i have also checked out jonathan strange & mr. norrell on ricky's recommendation. and many books were given me for christmas, including la perdida. i have the first 4 issues in the serial but i never got #5, so now i am re-reading from the beginning, and now i will know how it ends!

so my parents are selling the house i grew up in (since i was 1.5 years old) and i have to clean out my room and closet, boxing up anything i want them to drive out to pittsburgh in february and making piles of things to toss or donate. whoa.

guess i should go get on that.
