it has come to my attention that typewriter tattoos are cliché. which sucks, as i have been planning for a year to get one to celebrate finishing my thesis next month. i don't want to be a cliché. then again, i have a tattoo of a compass star on the inside of my wrist, which is probably painfully cliché. but i like compasses, and typewriters, and i'm a writer. the thing is, with the internet being saturated as it is, and communities being as sort of incestuous and one-up-y as they are, it's rare that anything you do will be truly unique. except that, if you do/wear/make something that is true to you, then that is all you can do. yeah?
