what should i make for dinner?

Ok now that maura's linked me, I should tidy this up, or write something more. It's just been tooooooooooo hotttttttt to feel like writing.

I knit a test swatch for the Summer Project, and I don't care I think the guage is correct! I'm gonna do it backwards i.e bra top first, mainly cause I want to wear that more than the bottoms, and it looks less complicated. Oooh, I can cut up my jeans with the big whole in the back and look like a TOTAL HIPPIE CHICK.

And so I got really drunk last weekend, which was nice and yet not. I may have scared some people with that final chug, but I had to drink it, IT WAS FREE. And now I found out I did the electronic age version of drunk dialing, and I am slightly embarrassed about the whole thing.

Does anyone have a pool and can I go swimming there???

I read The Chosen this week even though it means breaking the "No Novels except Genre Fiction" rule. Does this mean I will end up reading one of my 10th grade assignements My Name is Asher Lev?

Another hungry person just stopped by to see what to make for dinner.

Maybe you should leave some suggestions.

Hey,

I also want to know what to eat for dinner?
Here is a suggestion for the next person wanting to know. Make a fried tofu with penut sauce wrap.

the "feeling lucky" google button also sent me here...so here's a recipe for the next poor soul searching for an idea:

MACARONI AND CHEESE

3/4 pound elbow macaroni
For topping
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups panko* (Japanese bread crumbs) or coarse dry bread crumbs
1 cup coarsely grated extra-sharp Cheddar (about 4 ounces)

For cheese sauce
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes
2 3/4 cups whole milk
3/4 cups heavy cream
4 cups coarsely grated extra-sharp Cheddar (about 1 pound)
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F. and butter a 3-quart shallow baking dish. Fill a 6-quart kettle three fourths full with salted water and bring to a boil for macaroni.

Make topping: Melt butter and in a bowl stir together with panko or regular bread crumbs and Cheddar until combined well. Topping may be made 1 day ahead and chilled, covered.

Make sauce: In a 5-quart heavy saucepan melt butter over moderately low heat and stir in flour and red pepper flakes. Cook roux, stirring, 3 minutes and whisk in milk. Bring sauce to a boil, whisking constantly, and simmer, whisking occasionally, 3 minutes. Stir in cream, Cheddar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Remove pan from heat and cover surface of sauce with wax paper.

Cook macaroni in boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup cooking water and drain macaroni in colander. In a large bowl stir together macaroni, reserved cooking water, and sauce. Transfer mixture to baking dish.

Sprinkle topping evenly over macaroni and bake in middle of oven 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.

here are some more ideas:
--chicken quesadillas
--philly cheese steak sandwich
--chicken kabobs over couscous
--pork chops with roasted potatoes and garlic
--tamale pie
--tater tot cassarole
--cold barley soup (beer)

Wow.. seems to be a common issue... I wanted a site that I could just click a button and it would tell me what to make for dinner.... guess I'll have to figure it out myself and add that feature to my website.
